The popstar's porky doppelgänger was sold at a charity auction in the UK
A ceramic pig-shaped statue of Ed Sheeran, dubbed Ed Sheer-ham, has sold at auction in the UK for £6,200, or the equivalent of AUD$10,500.
The swine Sheeran was originally part of an art trail in the British city of Ipswich alongside other piggy homages to notable music stars. The real Sheeran might not be feeling all that flattered by his porky doppelgänger, but the fact his likeness attracted the highest price at the charity sale, beating Piggy Stardust, sold for £2,600 (AUD$4,400) and Elvis Porksley, which fetched £2,800 (AUD$4,750), might come as some consolation.
In total, the auction raised more than £152,550 (AUD$2,595) for the St Elizabeth’s Hospice.
