More Something For Kate More Something For Kate

It's been a while since we've heard anything from Something For Kate. But fans need not wait any longer! The three-piece have spent the past couple of months writing and rehearsing new material ahead of the recording process of their sixth studio album.

The Melburnian outfit will be jumping on a plane to Dallas, Texas where the album will be recorded with producer/engineer/mixer John Congleton (Explosions In The Sky, St. Vincent). The yet-to-be-titled album will be the next instalment of the band's impressive history and will be released via Capitol/EMI Music in late 2012.

It's been six years since Something For Kate's most recent record, Desert Lights, released in 2006. The time off provided members of the band to divert their focus on side projects (in particular, Paul Dempsey's second solo release, 2009's Everything Is True). Along with bandmates Stephanie Ashworth and Clint Hyndman, the next chapter of Something For Kate begins.
