7 September 2021 | 10:00 am | Staff Writer

The Doggfather is due to head down under next October for the first time in over seven years.

More Snoop Dogg More Snoop Dogg

It's been seven long years since the iconic Big Day Out festival ended its 20-year run in 2014. And for Snoop Dogg fans in Australia, that was also the last time they'd been able to catch the Doggfather live in action down under. Until 2022, that is...

Rap fans and music lovers hold onto your hats, the legendary Snoop Dogg has today unveiled plans for a huge run of arena shows around Australia starting next October, with the West Coast rapper set to bring his I WANNA THANK ME tour to our shores to celebrate the release of his seventeenth album I Wanna Thank Me (and the documentary of the same name).

The I WANNA THANK ME Australian tour will kick off in Perth next October, before heading to Sydney, Melbourne and finally Brisbane in early November 2022.

Evolving from playing piano at his local Baptist church in Long Beach into one of the world's most recognised and prolific artists, Snoop Dogg's career is the stuff of legend. And with a career spanning almost three decades, the Doggfather has transcended beyond the musical realms, firmly cementing himself as a cultural icon, actor and businessman. But, as the upcoming Aussie tours will attest to, he's ready to return to his roots and celebrate all things music.

Pre-sale tickets will be available this Friday 10 September, with general public tickets on sale next Monday 13 September. Head to theGuide for all the info.
