Band hope Strange Flowers will "bloom"

Sydney rock outfit Regular John have continued to make an impact on the American college radio scene, with their lead single Slume cracking the top 30 airplay charts on three core stations.

From their album Strange Flowers, which was released in September locally, Slume is 26 on KAOS in Olympia, WA and 27 on KCSB, Santa Barbara, CA and has been added to over 60 stations around the country. College radio is considered a major entry point for the American market and have given the leg-up to acts like The Jezabels previously.

The band – who recently picked up a J Award nomination for Strange Flowers – have stressed that the record take multiple listens “before it truly blooms”. As such, they're steaming the whole thing on their website.
