INVSN turn to English

Dennis Lyxzén, the frontman of the hugely influential hardcore outfit Refused, will make his English language debut with new band INVSN as today they've announced plans to release their self-titled debut late September.

The alt.rock outfit, which also features Sara Almgren, who played with Lyxzén in the hit-and-miss The (International) Noise Conspiracy, DC-13's Andre Sandström and Lykke Li' Anders Stenberg, recently signed a deal with Razor & Tie worldwide. In Australia, the label is distributed by Shock Records.

The album is currently being mixed by Nick Launay (who's had a hand in records from Arcade Fire and Nick Cave) and Jacob Hansen after being recorded in their native Sweden. They band have released music in their homeland, but this release will be the first time they've released anything in English.

It's been a busy couple of years for Lyxzén, particularly after Refused – the band who made him famous after they split – did what they said they'd never do and reformed for a world tour.
