US R&B singer R-Kelly was found guilty this morning on all counts of sex trafficking. The singer, also known as Robert Kelly, is facing life in prison for the crimes.

Kelly is currently facing seperate charges involving child pornography and sexual assault, which could also mount heavily upon his sentencing. He was acquitted on similar charges 13 years ago.

The jury found the singer guilty of using his celebrity status and workings within an inner circle to coerce and lure individuals into sexual activity. They also heard from witnesses how Kelly reportedly obtained illegal documents in order to marry singer Aaliyah - who at the time was just 15 years old.

Celebrated lawyer Gloria Allred, who represented a number of the victims in the case, addressed media this morning.

"I've been practicing law for 47 years," she said. "During this time, I've pursued many sexual predators who have committed crimes against women and children... Of all the predators that I have pursued, Mr Kelly is the worst."

The jury heard the details of the case - many of which was first brought to the public eye in the documentary Surviving R-Kelly - and deliberated over two days before delivering the final verdict. During this time, a number of pieces of information were brought forward - detailing how Kelly and his entourage would subjugate victims with intense rules and punishments if they were to disobey his orders.

Kelly is set to face further charges throughout the US in the coming months.
