More Liam Gerner More Liam Gerner

Yongala-bred folk troubadour Liam Gerner is a couple of weeks shy of setting out for his east-coast Hank And Tammy tour and, before he gets under way, theMusic.com.au is exceedingly proud to be able to present to you the premiere airing of his scenically gorgeous narrative video, to accompany the jaunt's namesake track.

Based on a true story relayed to Gerner by Texan judge Carrol Wilborn, Hank And Tammy tells the sorry tale of the titular twosome, a pair of struggling retirees who had taken to ferrying methamphetamine in their mobile home for Mexican cartels (wait, some of this sounds familiar...) and were eventually arrested in Anahuac, Texas, before being sentenced to twenty years apiece behind bars for their troubles.

Gerner is all ready to bring a full set's worth of similarly sublime songs along for the ride when he sets out on his Hank And Tammy tour, kicking off on July 24 at Brisbane's Dowse Bar, heading to McLaren Vale Winemakers in Adelaide for a 2pm appearance on the 27th, a slot at the Melbourne Folk Club on July 30, and capping it off at Petersham Bowls in Sydney on August 2.
