"There's no need to squawk like a pelican every 5 seconds."
EDM.COM has reported that a new petition has launched in an attempt to ban the annoying crowd "woo woo"ing at house music shows and club nights.
The petition is titled 'Stop Woo-Woo'-ing When DJs Play House Music, and was created by John Jones in USA who jokingly made the article. It is currently sitting with close to 244 signatures, with the goal of achieving over 500.
The author of the petition in its description wrote, (and reflects our sentiment on the matter), "We get it, you finally like house music even though it's been around for decades.
"There is nothing more annoying than when people shriek "woo-woo" to the beat when DJs play house music.
"Some would even say it's worse than fan-clacking. Just dance and enjoy the music... there's no need to squawk like a pelican every 5 seconds.
"House music is becoming more and more popular in the states every day, so this problem is only going to get worse. Stop with the woo-woo's."

This isn't the first time that "woo-woo"ing has come under fire, with multiple Reddit threats also taking concern with the behaviour.
A post from 2018, reads, "Am I the only one who doesn't enjoy it when the whole crowd goes "OOH OOH" at a show?
"In my experience, this seems to happen when a drop is kind of empty sounding/quiet and people want to fill in the silence. Also, it personally takes away from the musicality of the track since all I can hear is the crowd's chanting."
