Odette Mercy, Timothy Nelson And More To Rework Aussie Hits At WA Museum

RTRFM’s A Moment In Time will be the venues final event for four years

Described as a “musical love letter” to the Western Australian Museum, RTRFM are teaming up with a handful of local musos and the Perth Symphony Orchestra for A Moment In Time, a showcase that will see WA singers perform some of the state’s most iconic tunes.

On June 3, WA singers David Craft, Rachael Dease, Odette Mercy, Timothy Nelson and Mei Saraswati along with a 20-piece orchestra and an all-star band will perform WA classics from the likes of Abbe May, The Drones, Felicity Groom, The Stems, Tame Impala and more in the historic Hackett Hall Gallery.

RTR general manager Stuart MacLeod described the showcase as historic.

“When else will you have the chance to hang out in the empty spaces of the Museum and hear some of WA’s finest music?” he said.

“When the New Museum opens, people will be able to look back and say ‘I was there’.”

With the museum set to close for major redevelopment from mid-June until 2020, A Moment In Time will be the final event in the space for four years.
