Free Your Mind 2014 announced

Sydney post hardcore outfit Northlane have this afternoon confirmed a nine-date Free Your Mind 2014 national tour, which will eventually evolve into their own mini-festival.

The band, who had one of the more successful viral release rollouts for their album Singularity, have continued to innovate on this tour, and will announce five additional acts for the tour in the coming weeks. With international and national additions to be announced each Monday evening through Channel [V]'s Loud program, theMusic.com.au will then host a competition for local acts to the bill starting Thursday 6 March.

Interestingly, today's announcement says that this will be the “Australian leg” of Free Your Mind 2014.

Presented by theMusic.com.au, there will be no additional shows added to the tour and judging by Northlane's previous tours the dates are expected to sell out. The headliners are coming off a massive year, which saw them play Soundwave and Big Day Out and embark on arena tours of the US and UK with Bring Me The Horizon on the back of Singularity.
