It has been a long time coming but they're on their way back.
It has been five years since they paid us a visit, but thankfully Norma Jean have decided to wait no longer and announced a national tour of Australia to take place in early May 2013.
One of the real pioneering bands on the metalcore scene, the band have earned a serious reputation for the pummeling brand of very heavy fare. Their live shows have always been a real treat and, excitingly, it seems they might have some new material for Australian audiences when they make their triumphant return. The band are currently hard at work on album number six and, by the time they make it down here, they will be itching to slam the tunes from it out on the live stage and we bet the fans can't wait to hear them.
Coming along for the ride on this tour is Boston hardcore heavyweights Vanna, who are making the trek out to our country for the very first time for these shows. Their new record will be out by the time they get here, so you keep your eyes peeled for that, and we hear reports that it's something of an angry release.
Newcastle's hardworking newcomers Safe Hands will round out the bill.
