They intend to bring the festival back in the future
US company C3 Presents has confirmed there will be no Big Day Out next year, after its purchase of the festival yesterday.
In a statement on Fairfax, C3 said they were hopeful to bring the festival back in the future but confirmed reports that emerged yesterday that the long-standing event would not go ahead in the new year.
“C3 Presents is proud to own Big Day Out, one of the most iconic and established festival brands in the world. While we intend to bring back the festival in future years, we can confirm there will not be a Big Day Out in 2015.”
