On the back of Imaginaerum.
Finnish symphonic metal outfit Nightwish will tour Australia early 2013 on the back of their latest album Imaginaerum.
Renowned for emotionally-driven lyrics and grandiose string backings, the band are currently fronted by Anette Olzon, who joined the band in 2007 after the dramatic firing of original vocalist Tarja Turunen in 2005.
For Olzen's second album with the band, following 2007's Dark Passion Play, 2011's Imaginaerum was released alongside a film that follows the same basic concept.
Joining Nightwish for the tour are Swedish band Sabaton, with Eyefear and Black Majesty also supporting on the Australian dates bar Sydney, which Darker Half will take care of.
