Nasum Tour Australia For First And Last Time

Swedish grindcore legends announce their only Australian tour to celebrate 20 years since formation.

Aussie metal fans get it pretty damn good when you think about it; most bands acknowledge the incredible passion that we have for the genre and are happy to make the long trip down to give it to us live. There is one band who have been conspicuously absent from Australian shores since their formation back in 1992, that is grindcore masters Nasum, but 2012 is the year that we finally get to see the band on Australian soil.

The band enjoyed a great deal of success and notoriety up until 2004 when the Indian Ocean tsunami killed the band's frontman Mieszko Talarczyk. Understandably the band decided they couldn't go on after such a huge loss and disbanded, but this year have decided it is time to pick up the pieces, enlist Keijo Niinimaa on guest vocals and get out on the road in celebration of 20 years since the band's formation.

This is a tour that just about every grindcore fan in the country always hoped but never thought they'd see. This is literally your first and last time to ever see them – they will not be back – so be quick to grab your tickets when they go on sale Monday 21 May and catch them on the following dates:

Wednesday 15 August – Amplifier, Perth
Thursday 16 August – Fowlers Live, Adelaide
Friday 17 August – The Hi-Fi, Brisbane
Saturday 18 August – The Hi-Fi, Sydney
Sunday 19 August – The Hi-Fi, Melbourne
