Hear Five Mile Sniper inside

Members of Motor Ace, Prettymess, Icecream Hands and more are set to release an album this October under the new moniker of Five Mile Sniper.

Melbourne-based collective has been formed by Prettymess songwriter and vocalist John Baxter and include Icecream Hands’ Doug Robertson, Motor Ace bassist Matt Balfe and fellow Prettymess member Paul Inglis. The majority of the project’s songs were conceived by Baxter during an extended sojourn to America and the collapse off Prettymess. The formation of Five Mile Sniper comes after a six year break from music that centred around his young family.

The group’s debut album Sound Of Trees will be released Friday 24 October and the first taste from it is the single Can’t Go On, complete with a clip shot in Poland by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes collaborator Lukasz Pytlik.
