Max Watt's is good to go.

Popular Melbourne live music venue Max Watt's House Of Music is re-opening its doors tonight for the first time since it was forced to close after it became flooded last week.

Post-hardcore band Dream On, Dreamer were scheduled to perform at the venue last Saturday, but the gig was called off after a main water pipe burst.

Speaking to theMusic, owner Kate Hamblin said while the incident was out of their hands, safety concerns forced the venue to close.

"There was a corrosion in the old pipes that built up…and worked its way into the vinyl into the mosh, so when we came in, we had a swimming pool instead of a mosh," Hamblin said.

Hamblin has assured there have been no alterations to the venue.

"We've been working 24 hours to get it dried out. The whole building’s sprinklers need to be done over the near future but we’re up and ready to go."

The first gig to take place at Max Watt's tonight is Adelaide rock act The Mark Of Cain. For more details, head to theGuide.
