"I heard a loud popping sound on my head, felt a hot rush, and my vision went blank and I passed out."
A trial is currently underway over an alleged glassing incident involving Hilltop Hoods' member Daniel Howe Smith, also known as MC Pressure.
According to ABC, Smith was attending a wake at a home in Strathalbyn, South Australia with a dozen others following a funeral in 2018 when he was allegedly hit with either a glass or a bottle by family friend Christopher Peregi.
Smith has told the court that he was in conversation with another attendee when the alleged incident occurred.
"I heard a loud popping sound on my head, felt a hot rush, and my vision went blank and I passed out," he said.
"My next memory is being in the melee and being pushed to the front of the property and being asked to leave.
"I recall throwing several punches. I don't recall whether they landed. I was scared, angry, concussed, confused and in a heightened state."

Following the scuffle, Smith was taken to Flinders Medical Centre. He told the court that glass was removed from his scalp and that he suffered both a concussion and temporary deafness as a result of the incident.
Peregi - who is now married to Smith's ex-wife and is step-father to their son - told a doctor that he had blacked out ahead of the incident and regained consciousness during the scuffle.
Witnesses have described that Peregi yelled that "Dan was disrespecting me" and "they were laughing at me" around the time of the attack.
The trial is expected to continue today.
