It's a bad week to be Adam Levine.
Lead singer of Maroon 5, Adam Levine is under fire after a hot take that surfaced from a text exchange between him and Instagram model Sumner Stroh.
Stroh recently took to TikTok to announce that she and Adam Levine had been involved in a year-long affair, releasing Instagram dm's the two shared where Levine comments "It's truly unreal how f*cking hot you are" and asked if he could name his unborn child after her, despite still being married to his current wife Behati Prinsloo.
@sumnerstroh embarrassed I was involved w a man with this utter lack of remorse and respect. #greenscreen

Since her admission, several other women have come forward to share that Levine has also been sending them flirtatious messages, although none have issued that they had an affair. One woman, Alyson Rosef, also shared her text exchange with the pop star and the messages left fans even more puzzled than before.
In an exchange that reads like two tweens discovering MSN for the first time, Levine is caught out admitting that he thinks "no hot chicks" listen to metal.
This is not the first time that Adam Levine has been criticised for saying something tone-deaf about the current rock music scene. In 2021, in an interview with Zan Lowe for Apple Music, Levine confessed that "There’s no bands anymore, and I feel like they’re a dying breed."
Three years earlier, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor called Levine a 'schmuck' for dissing rock in another interview.
In a statement on Instagram, Levine said, “A lot is being said about me right now, and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life,”
Maybe Levine should try putting down his phone and start focusing on the music? Then maybe there'd be a few more bands and a little less drama.
