According to Kylie Minogue’s British fiancé, Joshua Sasse, the pair would like to marry in the popstar’s hometown of Melbourne.

But according to Canadian TV station Network Seven, who interviewed the Brit actor today, there will be no Minogue wedding bells Down Under until marriage equality laws are passed allowing same-sex couples the right to wed.

The pair launched the Say I Do Down Under campaign at the weekend, to champion the cause of same-sex marriage in Australia. “I simply can’t fathom on any level, whether it’s moral or religious or anything, that I have the right to get married and to marry the person that I love and that somebody else doesn’t because of their sexual orientation,” Sasse told Network Seven.
