Richards returning to Australia to celebrate the release of You Got The Power.

A Light From The Other, Lisa Richards' sixth studio album has received great praise since its release earlier this year. Early next year, Richard will come home to Australia to celebrate the release of her latest single You Got The Power.

The Townsville singer will be playing shows in Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne throughout January and February.

Her latest album was recorded with Greg J. Walker (also known by his performing name, Machine Translations), a composer, singer, songwriter and producer who has worked with the likes of Paul Kelly and C.W Stoneking.

Richards can be heard playing guitar (which she learnt at 30), a thumb piano and a toy piano as well as singing on the album with Walker providing most of the other instrumentals. Initially written as part of a ‘song a day’ challenge Richards tried last summer, You Got The Power is a laid back jazz track with a melodic bass line and smooth horn section.
