Leaps And Bounds To Hit Over 50 Melbourne Venues

A list of venues who will take part in the forthcoming Leaps And Bounds musical celebration in Melbourne have been announced today, though organisers tell us that there are a good number more still to announce their involvement as the event draws closer.

The venues confirmed today include:

Abbotsford Convent, Bar Open, Barleycorn Hotel, Bendigo Hotel, Boite World Music Café, Corner Hotel, Empress Hotel, Eureka, Evelyn Hotel, First Floor, Fitzroy Bowling Club, Fox Hotel, Gasometer, Gertrudes Brown Couch, Grace Darling Hotel, Great Britain Hotel, Grumpy's Green, Labour In Vain, Laundry,  Luwow, Night Cat, Old Bar, PBS FM Studio 5, Rainbow Hotel, Rochester Hotel, Some Velvet Morning, Standard Hotel, The Vic Hotel, Tote Hotel, Uptown Jazz Café, Workers Club, Yah Yah's and Yarra Hotel.

While there are still stacks of events to be announced, there have already been some pretty sweet shows revealed as a part of the event, including the Corner Hotel hosting Dick Diver and Twerps on Friday 5 (sold out) and Saturday 6 July, Gold Fields on Saturday 13, Kingswood on Thursday 18 and Airborne on Saturday 20 (also sold out).

You can now add to that a special double-header featuring Mikelangelo & The Tin Star and the Black Eyed Susans with support from St Clare and The Mightiest Of Guns on Sunday 7 July.

Announced last month, the festival will focus on different areas around Melbourne throughout its duration from Friday 5 July to Sunday 21.
