The film looks at the band and the recent tragedy surrounding them.
A documentary about American metal masters Lamb Of God will screen in Australia as a part of its initial theatrical release next month, the band has confirmed today, with Event and Village cinemas around the country picking up the film.
As The Palaces Burn tells the story of the band and their fervent fanbase, but also follows the plight of frontman Randy Blythe who was arrested and imprisoned in the Czech Republic for five weeks after being charged and indicted with manslaughter following an incident at a concert in Prague in which a fan died. The charges were dropped in March of this year.
Filming for the documentary began in 2012, before the Blythe controversy, and the film is directed by Don Argott, who music fans would know from his previous films Rock School and Last Days Here, about Bobby Liebling of 70s metal band Pentagram.
