More Kanye West More Kanye West

Kanye West has gone too far.

While Elon Musk is all about free speech on his newly purchased social media platform, Ye's antisemitism has gone too far, even for him. Musk deleted a bunch of tweets posted by Ye, which included a swastika, and imposed a 12-hour suspension on the rapper's Twitter account.

Ye reacted to his suspension by sharing a text message sent to him by Musk, who wrote, "Sorry, but you have gone too far. This is not love." He then posted a shirtless photo of the Twitter CEO and billionaire, declaring the post "my final tweet."

One Twitter user pleaded with Musk to "fix Kanye please", to which he responded, "I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended."

Earlier this week, Ye appeared on Alex Jones's InfoWars, where he explicitly and repeatedly affirmed his admiration for Hitler and denied that the holocaust ever happened.

It's been an alarming year for Ye. He is facing a $250 million lawsuit from George Floyd's family because of his comments ("They hit him with the fentanyl if you look, the guys knew wasn't even on his neck like that") and has been dropped by Adidas, Balenciaga, and Def Jam Recordings, among others.

Ye was recently locked out of Facebook and Instagram after spouting anti-semitic rhetoric. Elon Musk allowed Ye and Donald Trump to return to Twitter.

As reported by The Los Angeles Times, Ye's anti-semitic comments have had real-life consequences and recently drew a well-known hate group to a Los Angeles freeway; the group "gave Nazi salutes as they stood behind a large banner that read, 'Kanye is right about the Jews.'"

Last month, Ye wore a "White Lives Matter" long-sleeved shirt at his Yeezy Season 9 fashion show, where he later proclaimed himself "the leader". American conservative pundit Candace Owens wore a matching shirt while models wore it on the runway.
