A few visitors and a bunch of locals get in on the fun on Queensland's beautiful Stradebroke Island this October.

The next round of bands who are set to hit Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island this October as a part of the massive Island Vibe festival – which showcases some of the best roots and reggae music from Australia, New Zealand and beyond – has just been announced; it's big! The first announcement had some big names and this next round of bands bolsters the bill even further.

New Zealand's Cornerstone Roots lead the announcement, with fellow kiwis 1814 not far behind. Sydney acts The Strides and KingTide are making the trip, as areis Perth's Mama Kin and Melbourne's Lotek & Die Rude, while old favourites Fyahwalk from Byron Bay are also joining in on the action. As well as these guys, you have Brisbane acts Bankrupt Billionaires, Blunt Instrument, Sean Choolburra, 1 Dragon 2 Dragon, One Dread, Bullhorn, Band Of Frequencies, Bunna Lawrie & the Whale Dreamers, Ghetto Fire Sound, Blaze Fire Sound, The Rusty Datsuns, The Leisure Bandits, Hayden Hack Infusion, CC the Cat, Nick 1, Andy Dub, Loren, Lifeline, Tiger Lil.

Island Vibe is now in its seventh year and it keeps getting bigger and bigger. The announcement of The Original Wailers a couple of months back really showed that they are looking to make the 2012 installment of the festival even bigger than it already was, so it is strongly suggested that you grab your tickets as soon as possible. They are available now.
