Frontman and namesake Husky Gawenda is battling a prolonged bout of glandular fever
Melbourne outfit Husky have had to postpone and reschedule the planned Punchbuzz album tour — which was due to kick off this weekend in Castlemaine — while frontman Husky Gawenda recovers from a prolonged bout of glandular fever.
The 11-date run leaves some shows intact — namely, Bellingen (Thursday 6 July), Brisbane (7 July), Maroochydore (8 July), Hobart (15 July), Fremantle (22 July) and Perth (23 July) all remain the same, while the shows originally set to take place before those gigs have been juggled around to accommodate the new schedule.
Newcastle's show (previously Friday 30 June) will now be held on Friday 11 August; Sydney (previously 29 June) on 12 August; Adelaide (previously 24 June) on Friday 18 August; Castlemaine now on 19 August; and Melbourne (previously 23 June) on Thursday 24 August.
"Dear friends, I’ve come down with glandular fever ... I’ve been in bed for two weeks already and the doc’s orders are bed for another couple of weeks," Gawenda explained in a statement. "I've got my guitar, a pile of books and a plethora of herbs to beat this thing and to help pass the time.
