Hideous Sun Demon ProfileFor the last few months, raucous WA act Hideous Sun Demon have been knuckling down to write and record their new album, Industry Connections.
Having released it last month and now gearing up to play Southbound Festival, the band have exclusively shared a series of film photos from behind-the-scenes of the recording process.
Photographed by Tom Cahill, the photos show the band recording on an island in WA, taking a huge '70s mixing desk over a river on a leaky dinghy.
The band's Jake Suriano says, "We suffered from noise complaints from across the river… I remember seeing cops waving at us from the other side, which meant we had to stop live tracking and throw up mattresses for sound proofing.
"Also, a giant bush moth flew into the house while we were recording, and were continually being freaked out by possums running around in the roof. We were fortunate enough to get an island dweller named Ted to help us take our gear back over the river once we had finished. It was pissing down with rain, so cheers to Ted!"
