"Kanye's speech at the #VMAs sounded like pulling an all nighter on an essay before it's due in the morning"
When someone at MTV decided to give Kanye West four minutes of VMA air time to do whatever he pleased, we're pretty sure they were a little nervous about what he'd come up with.
The disjointed speech is hard to follow, not least because he jumps from talking about his now-iconic Famous video — "I put Ray J in there, bro!" — to comparing himself to Walt Disney and Steve Jobs, to touching on #BlackLivesMatter and the high murder rate in Chicago.
As expected, Twitter is in a live-tweeting frenzy about Kanye's speech and his freshly-premiered Fade video — check out some of the funniest tweets below.
The internet has also been losing their minds about Beyonce's massive Lemonade mash-up, Drake declaring his love for Rihanna on stage and Britney ruining her return to the VMAs by slipping up while lip-syncing. Ah, pop culture.
