More Harry Styles More Harry Styles

He may have missed out on playing Elvis Presley but Harry Styles could still star in another Hollywood blockbuster.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the UK singer is in negotiations to play the role of Prince Eric in the upcoming live-action remake of Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Following the casting of R&B singer Halle Bailey as Ariel, it's reported that Disney are keen to make music an integral part of the remake of the 1989 original.

Production on the film is expected to commence in early 2020.

The news comes after Styles lost out on the role of Elvis Presley to US actor Austin Butler in Baz Luhrmann's forthcoming biopic which will be filmed in Queensland next year.

The 25-year-old artist reportedly filmed a test for Luhrmann, as did Butler, Miles Teller and Ansel Elgort.
