Groovin The Moo Announces 2015 Dates

3 December 2014 | 4:00 pm | Staff Writer

Get out those calendars, folks - time to save the date

Annual regional revelry factory Groovin The Moo has outlined its spread of dates for 2015's round of events, with the festival now taking over six weekend dates a quarter-way through the year.

The first Groovin The Moo event for 2015 will be held on Saturday, April 25 — ANZAC Day — in Oakbank, South Australia, before heading to Bunbury, in Western Australia, for Sunday, April 26; the following weekend, the festival hits Bendigo (Saturday, May 2) and Canberra (Sunday, May 3), before the final leg crops up in Maitland, on Saturday, May 9, and in Townsville for the grand finale on Sunday, May 10.

The next crop of Groovin The Moo marks the festival's eleventh year on the circuit, a time period that has seen it grow steadily in scope and ambition since its genesis as a much-needed entry to the regional live-event map in the early 2000s. This year's line-up welcomed a vast array of acclaimed acts from home and abroad, including Violent Soho, Allday, Dizzee Rascal, Holy Fuck, The Jezabels, Architecture In Helsinki, Disclosure, Illy, Andy Bull, Thundamentals, The Naked And Famous, The Jungle Giants, The Presets, Vance Joy and Peking Duk, and we can expect that next year's roster will have no less fine a pedigree than we've seen from the festival in the past.

Tickets for 2015's Groovin The Moo events will go on sale on Tuesday, February 3, a few days after the artist line-up is set to be revealed (on Wednesday, January 28). For more information, see our Festivals hub and pick your state, or hit the Groovin The Moo website.
