GordiHaving just performed a string of shows overseas, including at the UK's Great Escape festival, Aussie artist Gordi has announced she'll be returning home for a headline east coast tour this August.
The Sydney-based artist will perform shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane — tickets for all shows are on sale now.
The tour announcement coincides with the release of Gordi's new music video for her latest single Wanting, which recently reached #2 on the iTunes Alternative Chart.
"Wanting is about wanting more from yourself," Gordi said of the track.
"The song deals with the disappointment of constantly ending up at the same place, despite feeling like you should have come so much further. The film clip echoes this idea in that a young girl is looking at what she hopes is not her own reflection, because though it's years in the future, she's in exactly the same place once again."
Gordi was also recently announced as one of six recipients of an APRA/PPCA grant, winning a $15,000 sum which she'll use to mix, master and market her next release.
