The Blackhearts Club line-up is here

After putting the final touches on this year’s film program earlier this month, Melbourne International Film Festival has unveiled details surrounding the official bar, The Blackhearts Club, which includes a one-off DJ set from legendary musician Ray Parker Jr. – responsible for the iconic Ghostbusters theme - and more at Forum Theatre

The 65th edition of MIFF runs from 28 July to 14 August with Forum housing a series of live entertainment and food to compliment the eclectic films on offer, with cult musicians doing unique performances inspired by the festival’s programming.

The opening night party on 29 July will see The Drones’s Dan Luscombe trade in his guitar for a more intimate set driving by keys before DJ sets from local radio presenters set the mood Parker Jr.

In the weeks that follow, others bring the space to life with a range of film-inspired gigs, with renowned Melbourne jazz pianist Mark Fitzgibbon setups behind the venue’s grand piano most nights.
