They aim to celebrate analogue culture

Bacardi have announced their Fuego Revolutions series which is set to come to Sydney's Club 77 and Melbourne's Boney throughout August, bringing house heavyweights FunkinEven, Germany's Damiano Von Erckert and US's Darshan Jesrani as headliners.

FunkinEven (real name Steven Julien) and a few others on the line-up have been known to favour old-school workflow in creating their music, preferring physical synthesisers and drum machines rather than computer programs. In an interview with Fact Magazine Julien says, "It's how I always use to make music, for one. Two, it's a natural take on things. You can make happy mistakes jamming with analogue [as opposed to digital] stuff."

The bill is rounded out by Simon Caldwell, Jnett, Otologic, Edd Fisher, Kali, Ben Fester, Babicka, Noise In My Head, Adi Toohey, Prequel, Kato, CC:Disco!, The Original Roman, Love Bombs, Jamie Bennett, Andee Frost and Freda & Jackson, with the events aiming to celebrate analogue culture in a world where anyone can dabble in electronic music.

Not only is this quality string of sets taking place at a couple of the hippest venues around at the moment, but are also completely free from 5 August to 27 August! With Club 77 reopening its doors earlier this year, this event brings a breath of fresh air to Sydney's ailing nightlife.
