I honestly haven't cared about the Foo Fighters this much in God knows how long.
I honestly haven't cared about the Foo Fighters this much in God knows how long.
Overnight, Foo Fighters released an energetic and genuinely rocking new single by the name of 'Run', and no shit, it's actually pretty good!
This is nothing necessarily new for the Foo's rock and roll formula, but it re-captures an energy and a force that's been lacking or simply missing altogether in their music for a few years now. Seriously, it's so much better than anything 2014's 'Sonic Highways' produced.

What I think really helps this make this song is the accompanying music video - directed by Dave Grohl - showing the elderly patients of a hospital rising up over the uncaring and jaded staff members and reclaiming a sense of agency and fun for life; complete with old-people mosh, some great makeup effects, and saggy, old lady breasts.
Basically, if you loved the rebellious outburst scenes in films like the heartfelt but gut-wrenching classic The One Who Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest or even 1997's more upbeat Robin Williams career highlight, Awakenings, then you'll probably get a real kick out of this new film clip.
Check out 'Run' below and go get back on the Grohl train, baby!
Also, was the subtle joke at the end of the clip that because these are meant to be old people, they had heart attacks from their dancing? If so, that's kinda fucked up.
