Could we be seeing a more rock direction from Dallas Green?

More City & Colour More City & Colour

Fans of Canadian singer-songwriter City & Colour who have been patiently waiting since 2011 for more of Dallas Green's delicious melodic tunes can now get a sneak preview of the highly anticipated fourth album.

While the upcoming The Hurry & The Harm is set for release on May 31, the first official single to be taken from the LP has been released for the privileged public, accompanied by a lyric video on Youtube. And the track, titled Thirst does not disappoint.

Following on from his three previous albums Sometimes (2005), Bring Me Your Love (2008) and Little Hell (2011), which have defined and established Green's melancholic, acoustic feel, Thirst shows us a glimpse of a potential new direction that is slightly more upbeat. Green's clever lyrical abilities  are showcased, which is pretty of City & Colour, however there is definitely a more rock feel to the single that before.

When it comes to the rest of the album, I guess we will just have to wait it out and trust Green when he says, I've never been happier or prouder about something that I have done.”
