"You had me at meat tornado" - Ron Swanson
Meatstock, where you can both chill out to tunes as well grab a great carnivorous feed to keep your energy up for dancing later in the night, is the perfect combination for Valentine's Day on Saturday, 14 February — and apparently others think so too as the festival's opening day has now sold out!
Festival directors Jay Beaumont and Simon Luke say that, "Both days have their own distinct flavour and Sunday definitely has plenty to offer. People of all ages still have the chance to get involved but they should buy a ticket as soon as possible to ensure they get to experience not only the barbecue portion of the festival but everything else that will be going on. We are looking forward to seeing a big crowd on both days."
On the day, butchers will compete live on stage with the famous, Jess Pryles as their celebrity judge. Multiple bands such as Henry Wagons, Hussy Hicks, The Beards and Mustered Courage will please the crowd as they slow dance on the romantic day, eat giant slabs of meat or stroll around eyeing off The Sydney Barbecue Wars or one of the meat and barbecue expos.
