Field Day Confirms 2015 Return

17 September 2014 | 2:21 pm | Staff Writer

Lock it in - Sydney's annual New Year's Day party is back for another year

Field Day, the annual cavalcade of revelry held at Sydney's The Domain on New Year's Day, has confirmed its return for 2015, with organisers encouraging the faithful to save the date for yet another memorable shindig.

However, don't get too ahead of yourselves yet — the formal line-up announcement is still a week off, and tickets, which will set you back from $125 (early-bird; $145 GA; $192 VIP) including fees, won't drop until midday September 30, with the lower price remaining in effect until 4pm on Tuesday, October 14, or when they hit sold-out status.

With this year's event line-up featuring esteemed artists from across continents and the hip-hop, house, indie and electronic genres including Flume, Flight Facilities, A$AP Rocky, Alison Wonderland, Chet Faker, Hermitude, Crystal Fighters, Ta-Ku and The Wombats, it's only fair to assume that the 2015 iteration will keep the bar raised — a sentiment echoed by those in the know.

"We think Field Day has been getting better and better for the past few years," John Wall, the director of organisers Fuzzy, said in a statement. "Come and see why we say it's the nice way to do New Year's."
