The Soundwave-bound band will release their long-awaited new full-length in May
Faith No More
Soundwave Festival drawcards Faith No More have lifted the veil on the title and release date for their eagerly awaited first full-length in 18 years, just a couple of weeks out from their imminent sojourn Down Under for the touring event.
Titled Sol Invictus, the album is set for local release via Reclamation Recordings/Ipecac Recordings/[PIAS] on Friday, 15 May.
You won't have to wait the full three-and-a-bit months for any other new material, though; following on from recent taster Motherfucker, new single Superhero will be released as a 7" in mid-March (internationally 17 March, locally likely 13 March, if the album schedule is any indication), with the global digital release to follow on 31 March.
Before that, even, Aussies have the chance to see the band at one of Soundwave's many events around the country, and maybe even be among the first in the world to get treated to some never-before-heard goodies from the forthcoming release. In the interim, though, you can always pass the time with another spin of Motherfucker and make sure you're across all your Soundwave details to be front and centre when they hit antipodean stages in the next few weeks.
