The makers of the best music video of the year will be honoured.
The Queensland Music Awards applications are already coming in thick and fast, from what we have heard. But this afternoon's announcement of a brand new category for the August awards, Best Music Video, is sure to make them flow even more rapidly.
In 2013 the awards will feature, for the very first time, a category that celebrates the best music videos made by artists coming out of Queensland, by the looks of some of the clips we've seen so far this year there will be some mighty stiff competition.
Final judging for the category will be carried out by a panel of music and film industry representatives, including ABC TV's rage producer and programmer, Tyson Koh.
Entries are already open and close in just a couple of weeks, on Monday 22 April, so get your shit together if you want to be in the running to win. You can enter through the awards' website right now.
