Ex Member Of Sydney Band Underlights Found Guilty On Assault Charge

He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

A former member of Sydney-based outfit Underlights, Jack Friels has been found guilty of an assault at a pub last year.

As news.com.au reports, Friels, the son of famous Australian actors Judy Davis and Colin Friels, appeared in court today over the incident that happened last July, where he punched a tradie and fractured his eye socket in a fight that was started over the Sydney Swans.

The 31-year-old was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and sentenced to 18 months of community service.

Friels previously played guitar in Underlights alongside current DMA'S members Tommy O'Dell and Johnny Took.

The band played at Homebake, BIGSOUND, Yours & Owls and more and released their debut self-titled EP in 2012.
