Evergreen Terrace Singer Quits Band: 'I'm Getting Too Old For This Shit'

Is this the end?

More Evergreen Terrace Evergreen Terrace Profile

2015 has been a trying year for US metalcore band, Evergreen Terrace

Not only were they forced to pull out of the Aussie music fest Soundwave earlier this year due to a severe injury to drummer Brad Moxey after he fell off a ladder, but lead singer Andrew Carey has announced he is quitting the group after 15 years.

Carey sent a statement to Lambgoat to announce his depature: "I quit Evergreen Terrace."

"As Danny Glover would say in the hit movies from the 90's, Lethal Weapon 1, 2 and 3, 'I'm getting too old for this shit.' Thanks to everyone who supported us throughout the years."

While it is unknown as to what capacity the band will continue in moving forward, they did release a short statement to their Facebook page shortly after Carey made the announcement.

"As many of you know, Andrew hasn't been performing with ET for quite a while in order to focus on a career in nursing. Today he is officially leaving the band after 15 years of killing it. Wish him well!"
