"I don’t know of any other event that is so captivating."
Four more acts have been added to the Eurovision – Australia Decides line-up, vying for a chance to represent the country at the mammoth song content in Italy next year, while a new partnership sees applications open to the public.
Joining a handful of local acts already taking part in Eurovision – Australia Decides on the Gold Coast in February, Charley, Jude York, Seann Miley Moore and Voyager sign on.
"I don’t know of any other event that is so captivating – to me, it’s like the Soccer World Cup for music and performance,” Voyager vocalist Danny Estrin told The Music.
“Voyager have always unashamedly had a pop sensibility – we’ve just combined it with heavy riffs to become what the media likes to call ‘Heavy Duran Duran’ – how perfect for Eurovision!
“As a long-time Eurovision fan (yes, I actually went to ESC in Tel Aviv 2019), actually being in Australia Decides with a chance at travelling to Italy is mind-blowing. Who would have thought, with few world tours and seven albums under our belt, we’d be announcing THIS!"
SBS has also announced today a national TikTok Wildcard contest, the winner of which will also have their chance to impress at Australia Decides and potentially represent the country next year.
