Another great week for local acts on the ARIA charts!

More Ed Sheeran More Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran’s latest single, a touching tribute to the late Michael Gudinski, has claimed the week’s highest debut on the ARIA Singles Chart.

Taken from the singer-songwriter’s highly anticipated new album Equals (styled as =) and featuring backing vocals from Kylie Minogue and Jimmy Barnes, Visiting Hours soars into the chart at #3.

Sheeran, who has frequently referred to the Aussie music legend as a mentor and friend over the years, wrote the new song during his hotel quarantine stint after travelling to Australia in March for Gudinski’s memorial.

It was also one of three songs he performed during the memorial and he enlisted Minogue for its debut during the ceremony.

Visiting Hours sits behind The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber’s Stay, which holds onto #1 for its seventh week and another Sheeran single, Bad Habits, at #2.
