Daniel Sloss has revealed that his team have been working for "months" to gain approval to tour Australia next month with his new show, Hubris.

Appearing on the latest episode of The Green Room With Neil Griffiths podcast, the Scottish comedian discussed how he was granted approval, just weeks after UK comic Russell Howard was also allowed in the country, despite the ongoing border restrictions.

"My agent and manager over here and my agents over there, we've been working for months and months to make sure that it's possible to go ahead," Sloss told host Neil Griffiths.

"Last year was the first year in, like, nine years that I haven't gone there. I've got such a second life out there - my best friend lives out there, I've not seen my godson in a year - I made sure it was a number one priority and the Australian Government was gracious enough to sort of go, 'Yes, you're allowed in.'

"I'm still shitting my pants that it won't go ahead. I'm still worried that the day before I get on the plane they'll be like, 'You know what? Fuck it. Scotland says no.'"

Sloss will quarantine for two weeks before the tour and "immediately" after landing in the country, before performing his new show in the Gold Coast, Hobart, Melbourne, Torrensville, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Perth.

"Whatever [the Government] say to do is what we have to adhere to and they're allowed to change that at any moment," Sloss said.

"I don't know where we're landing, but it's from the airport immediately to a hotel... I think it's 15 days [quarantine]."

Tickets for the tour are on sale now. Check out theGuide for more details.
