The tour begins at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday, 2 April, followed by the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday, 5 April, the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Monday, 7 April, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday, 8 April, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday, 10 April, and wraps up at Perth’s RAC Arena on Saturday, 12 April.

It’s a tour that will unfortunately end too quickly, but with the ‘80s music icon performing in arenas across the country, here’s hoping that none of her fans miss out.

Telstra Plus members can access pre-sale tickets from 12 pm on Friday, 18 October, until 12 pm on Tuesday, 22 October (local times). The TEG Dainty pre-sale begins at 1 pm on Tuesday, 22 October, and ends at 1 pm the following day. The general sale starts at 2 pm local time on Wednesday, 23 October, via Ticketek. You can find more ticketing information here.

Paul Dainty AO, President and CEO of TEG Dainty, said of the tour, “It’s a true honour to promote Cyndi Lauper’s Farewell Tour. She’s an iconic artist who has left an indelible mark on the music world, and to be part of this momentous tour is incredibly special.”

In June, Lauper appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to explain why the time is nearing for her to say farewell.

“I’m strong now, but I don’t know what I’m going to be like in four years,” Lauper said before standing up and mimicking herself needing a walker down the track.

She added, “For me, I wanted to have a chance to do this when I’m feeling strong. I want to celebrate with people. Really celebrate with people and make it fun.”

During the interview, she also promoted her new documentary, Let The Canary Sing, which is on Paramount+.

Cyndi Lauper last toured Australia with Rod Stewart in March 2023. In a review of her set at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, The Music’s Andy Hazel complimented Lauper’s performance, writing: “Her dynamic vocals, her distinctive look, and her infectious, welcoming confidence can bewitch a kid as quickly as it can pull a listener 40 years into the past.”

Hazel continued to praise “The personality evident in her look, the power of her voice, and the punk defiance still powering her 40 years after the album’s release [She’s So Unusual]. It’s magnificent.”
