'That's Rigged': Controversy Hits 'The Voice' After Chris Sebastian Announced As Winner

Sebastian was crowned the winner on Sunday night.

Chris Sebastian has been crowned the winner of the latest season of The Voice.

The announcement on the Channel Nine broadcast last night was met with controversy, with some saying the competition has been "rigged" due to Sebastian being the brother of coach Guy Sebastian.

While Siala Robson and Johnny Manuel were the favourites to win, it was Sebastian who just got the nod as it was revealed that there was "less than 0.5% separating first and second place" in the voting.

With the win, Sebastian has been awarded a $100,000 prize and a record contract with EMI.

TV Tonight have reported that the finale was "the lowest finale on the record" in the ratings, with 911,000 initial viewers and 871,000 viewers for the winner announcement.
