Cat Power Postpones Aus Tour Due To Struggle With Rare Blood Condition

She'll be announced rescheduled dates soon

More Cat Power Cat Power Profile

Atlanta-born singer/songwriter Cat Power — also known as Chan Marshall — has announced the cancellation of her Australia/NZ tour this month, citing her ongoing rare blood condition as the reason.

Marshall suffers from heriditary angioedema (HAE) which causes swelling around the throat, oesophagus and internal organs — the condition caused Marshall's postponement of some European shows back in 2012.

Due to hit Sydney in three days, this will be the first time Marshall has postponed any Australian shows in the 18 years she's been gracing our stages, and is focused on returning in good health as soon as possible.

Hold onto your tickets as they'll be valid for Cat Power's rescheduled dates.
