30 November 2016 | 11:45 am | Staff Writer

Duo set to debut in top ten.

The holiday season is upon us and as is the case every year, an influx of Christmas albums are set to push their way towards the top of the ARIA Albums Chart, but also soaring its way into the list this week is AB Original with their acclaimed debut LP, Reclaim Australia.

Though it was initially dubbed as a side project, the duo, made up of hip hop favourites Briggs and Trials, have already made some massive strides and the proof is there for all to see as their album is primed to debut in the top ten.

Meanwhile, it is expected that Canadian artist The Weeknd will debut at #1 this week with third studio album, Starboy, though he will be challenged by Michael Buble's 2011 Christmas LP, always a contender in December.

Also, John Farnham and Olivia Newton John's new Friends For Christmas album is primed for a top five finish this week, while Kylie Minogue's 2015 Kylie Christmas should place in the top 25.

Moving away from the festive records, Adele's hugely-successful 25 is also a chance to crack the top five, following her Aussie tour announcement, while 2016 ARIA Hall Of Fame act Crowded House could score a top ten placing with compilation record, The Very Best Of Crowded House.

Rounding out the album debuts this week includes Garth BrooksGunslingerSusan Boyle's A Wonderful World, new Prince compilation, 4Ever and Kate Bush's Before The Dawn.

On the Singles chart, James Arthur's seven-week streak on top with Say You Won't Let Go could come to an end as The Weeknd's Starboy is expected to burst back up into the top three.

The UK singer will also have to compete with Clean Bandit's Rockabye featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie and Rae Sremmurd's Black Beatles, which charted last week at #2 and #3 respectively.

Also debuting on the Singles chart this week is new The Weeknd track, Party Monster, and Flume's Skin Companion EP 1, with both expected to land comfortably in the top 50.
