I Can Make You Love Me saved the band.
Indie rockers British India have opened up on how their hit track I Can Make You Love Me ultimately saved the band from falling onto the scrapheap.
“It kinda got us the [Liberation] deal,” said frontman Declan Melia. The band has earlier parted ways with Shock.
“It's the song that saved British India and then it got us back on track, 'cause we were fucked for a while.”

While some may speculate that the emotive track is an autobiographical one, Melia insists that his songwriting is inspired by others, including their fans.
“I'm talking about them, really,” he explained
“I'm trying to find situations that they've been in. So that's gotta be even better, doesn't it? Than hearing what's on someone's mind.”
