It will no doubt be another magical three weeks in the Queensland Spring.
The 2013 Brisbane Festival has today been confirmed as happening from Saturday 7 September through to Saturday 28. The city's biggest celebration of a wide variety of artistic talent will once again combine international, national and local artists from a number of disciplines.
In the past, the event has featured contemporary music from the likes of Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, Syl Johnson & The Bamboos, Gareth Liddiard, Nada Surf, Simone Felice, Archie Roach, Lanie Lane and so many more.
While it will probably be quite some time before we hear a line up announcement for the 2013 event - it's currently planned for June - Artistic Director Noel Staunton said that there will be plenty of exciting things in store.
“The city can expect to be entertained by world premieres, Australian-firsts, cross-cultural collaborations and some of the best artists from Brisbane and across the globe," he said. "They can also look forward to a touch of Hollywood fame.

“Last year I wanted people to stay up late – they did and we had a ball. This year I want the entire city to put on their party hats in September and make the most of what Brisbane Festival has to offer.”
The Santos GLNG City of Lights and Sunsuper Riverfire have been confirmed as taking place during the festival again this year.
