Perth-born acoustic troubadour Bob Evans, aka Kevin Mitchell every now and then, has spent more than two decades churning out hits, and to celebrate a fresh bunch of national tour dates, he’s gone back into the archives and dished up a collection of unreleased songs for the Zeroes To Heroes EP.

The Lonesome Highways Tour – which runs from April to June - follows a massive 2016, with the Jebediah frontman releasing his sixth album, Car Boot Sale, under the moniker followed by a massive national tour with long-time pal Josh Pyke.

The first look at the unreleased material comes with a live rendition of My Matilda, which missed out on being recorded for 2008’s Goodnight, Bull Creek! and last year’s effort.

"I have so many songs that have almost made it on to records in the past but have just missed out for one reason or another and I've always wanted to share them with people and I thought this would just be a good way to say thank you to the people who support me,” Mitchell said.

The new six-track release will be available for free download to those who purchase tickets to the upcoming tour online.

With the tour kicking off April 20 in Canberra, Mitchell will unveil an all-female cast of main supports in the coming weeks.
